Terms of use

These terms govern your use of the CarSpot app, provided by Andrea Balloni (contact: info@carspot-eu.com). By using the app you accept them. How we process personal data is described in the privacy policy. The Italian version is the reference text.

The service

CarSpot lets you photograph the cars you come across, have them recognised and collect them as game cards. The app is under active development: features, game rules and content may change, be suspended or removed.

Account

• You must be at least 14 years old.
• You are responsible for what happens with your account and for keeping it secure.
• Your username must not be offensive, misleading or infringe the rights of others.
• You can delete your account at any time from the app.

Use the app safely

• Don't use CarSpot while driving. Stop somewhere safe before taking a photo.
• Respect traffic laws, private property and people: don't enter places you aren't allowed into and don't bother car owners.
• Only take photos where photography is allowed.

Your photos

Your photos remain yours. You grant us a non-exclusive, free licence to store and process them only to run the service (recognition, saving and showing them in your collection). The licence ends when you delete the photo or your account. Don't upload content that is illegal, offensive or that you don't have the rights to.

Not allowed

• Cheating the game: photos of screens or prints to earn cards, automation, modified versions of the app.
• Trying to access other users' data or our systems in unintended ways.
• Using the app to harass, track or identify people.

If these terms aren't respected we may restrict or close the account.

In-game currency and items

Experience points, currency and in-game items have no real monetary value, cannot be exchanged for money and are not transferable.

Trademarks

Car makes, models and logos belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify vehicles. CarSpot is not affiliated with or sponsored by any manufacturer.

Liability

The app is provided as is. Automatic recognition can be wrong and the service may be interrupted. To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect damages arising from the use of the app. This does not affect the rights consumers have under the law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Significant changes will be announced in the app; by continuing to use it after a change you accept the new version.

Governing law

Italian law applies. For consumers, the competent court is the one where the consumer lives, and consumers keep the protections of the law of their country of residence.
